Meshtastic - with ESP32 S3 LORA Meshtastic Lora, SX1262

I've been messing around - fairly unsuccessfully as it happens - with Meshtastic  a wireless mesh based on LoRa (Long Range)

I have sucessfully connected to the mesh exactly once. I helped a friend connect and he was able to connect more or less straight away and get connections. He's managed to get connections whever he runs his node - or so it seems to me.

TBH I think I live in a Meshtastic black hole. And I have a high brick wall in the back of my house between me and the city and me and the hills.

I'm sure I'll be able to get on the mesh - but I think it will take some building and hacking around.

If I am persistant and if I am good I will dopcument that work here. Or thereabouts.

Connecting a screen without using the dev IO board:

SDA: GPIO 4 (Pin 6)

SCL: GPIO 5 (Pin 7)

VCC: 3.3V
